About Our Pastor...

The Reverend Carolyn, “Cari”, Keith was educated at New Brunswick Seminary and was ordained in 1992.  Before going to seminary she spent 26 years in nursing, specializing in the areas of intensive care and psychiatry.  In addition to her seminary and nurses training, Pastor Cari is a certified Spiritual Director with certification from the Guild for Spiritual Direction, a trained labyrinth facilitator, and a practitioner of group process.  

After working with congregations in Glen Rock and Ridgewood, Pastor Cari was invited to the Allwood Community Church in February of 2002.   Since that time she has served the congregation as minister of word and sacrament.  Her philosophy of ministry is based on the gospel teachings of Jesus which, she believes, encourages congregations to be places of healing and hospitality for all God’s people. 

Pastor Cari lives in the church owned manse with her husband John, an environmental engineer responsible for the environmental health and safety of Pfizer’s manufacturing operations.  Cari and John have three grown children.
