On Sunday, March 9th, at 10:30 A.M., the congregation of the Allwood Community Church (Chelsea and Merrill Roads in Clifton), will be joined in worship by farmers from the “Delicious Peace” coffee co-op in Uganda, Africa. The farmers are members of a multi-faith coffee co-op, Christian, Muslim, and Jew, who pooled their resources and their prayers and now distribute their coffee in the US through the

fair trade distributor, Thanksgiving Coffee Co.  Representatives from Thanksgiving coffee will also be with us and $2.00 sample packs of “Delicious Peace” coffee will be available for sale.  The stated mission of the Allwood Community Church is to be a place of prayer and hospitality for all God’s people.  There is a great need for religious peace and understanding in our world and we are honored to be a part of this process with farmers, distributors, film producers, and members of our local community.  In October, the Allwood Congregation held an Interfaith Pot-luck dinner and introduced the community to “Delicious Peace” coffee.  In addition to being a huge success, the event opened the door to other interfaith events and new friendships.  The congregation now proudly serves “Delicious Peace” fair-traded coffee at all of our fellowship events, including our weekly Sunday coffee hour following worship.  You are invited to join us for worship and coffee hour each week at 10:30 on Sunday morning and particularly on March 9th.
