Become a Member

The Allwood Community Church congregation takes pride in its “community church” roots, and its people continue to place a great deal of influence on that word “community”.   Our worship is Christ centered, for the Gospel message is one of full inclusion in God’s community.  We are a congregation with a mission of healing and hospitality to all God’s people.  Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are open to all and you are invited to be a part of our church family and to participate in our programs without any commitment to membership.  However, membership confers on the person a greater sense of belonging and an opportunity to serve the church community on its governing board, the Consistory.  If you and your family find that you are spiritually nourished in worship, and warmly welcomed by the community; if you find this to be a place where you can grow in faith and in fellowship with others, then you are invited to consider membership.  A simple request to the pastor begins this process.     Members are asked to be faithful in praying for themselves and others; to be intentional in their contemplation of scripture, to attend Sunday worship; and to  participate in the life of the community.  For further questions, please feel free to call Pastor Cari Keith at: 973-777-4025
